Well with so much family out of the city, I thought it might be fun to set up a blog to keep everyone updated on how Owen is growin'! Now, of course I have so much free time with a new born...so we will have to see how much I can keep it up to date.
I also wanted to try and capture as much as I could about the little guy. Everyone constantly reminds us that they grow up so fast. I believe it- it seems like yesterday Owen came in to our lives. With mommy brain, I was worried that I might start to forget all these wonderful moments as he grows. So I hope this blog helps keep friends and family up to date and helps us remember him in this adorable state.
So this is Owen's ninth week. He started "Movement and Music" on Friday (yes we are yuppies- at least I said no to "Mommy and Baby Yoga"!). He loved it. He smiled and babbled through the whole class. We can only hope that Cris' tone deaf ear has not been passed on. Perhaps we have a musician in the works?!
We also had our first shots this week. He did better than I did. At least I planned ahead and wore waterproof mascara. So he got a needle in each thigh. It didn't seem to bother him too much. Of course he cried- but it was soon forgotten. The worst was I got a parking ticket since the appointment took so long. $90 for a freakin' ticket!!! Hope it covers the repair of at least one pothole. The evening was a bit rougher for Owen. But a little baby tylenol and we were good to go!
We went out to dinner with my brother and his girlfriend tonight. I feel bad for them- Cris and I are officially annoying parents who only talk about their child. We actually talked about his poop during dinner. Who are these people? What happened to Cris and Rachael? Now we are just "the diaper pail" and "the udder". At least my brother and his girlfriend are understanding. They have a cat after all.
I have added a few of our most favorite photos from the last nine weeks. Tough to choose just a few...I mean he is perfect and all...
Any way...these few free moments alone with Cris are short. So off to watch t.v. and talk about the merits of Pampers vs. Huggies...
